The 2-year-old child, Sujith, who was playing in the garden of his house in Nirukkadupatti near Manapparai in Trichy district, has fallen into a well and is in the process of rescuing the child.
We have compiled the current field situation into 10 key information.
1. It is estimated that the boy Sujith was trapped at about 80 to 90 feet. Also, the boy's hands are held (air lock) so as not to go down.
2. The boy drilled a new hole with rig machines about 3 meters away from the deep well. The cavity is about 1 meter in diameter.
3. The first excavated rig has been damaged and a more powerful rig has been introduced. Work on fitting the parts of that machine is ongoing.
4. One of the main reasons for rig rigging is the presence of rocks at the site. The teeth of the rig machine are damaged because the rocks are 10 feet deep.
5. Disaster recovery crews are planning to dig a newly dug deep hole at about 100 feet.
6. After digging a hundred meters, the boy is to drill towards the pit where Sujith fell. The fire department is ready to carry out this task.
7. Two firefighters enter the newly dug pit and do the drilling work to get the boy to the pit.
8. About 70 people are involved in this rescue mission.
9. When Sujith is recovered, the medical team is ready to take him to the hospital immediately.
